Joseph's performance at Mountain Stage, Morgantown, MV on Oct 2nd 2011 is being broadcast this week, starting Nov 11th.

Listen to Joseph's set now via NPR's Mountain Stage series on the link given below

---> NPR: Joseph Arthur On Mountain Stage - broadcast Nov 16 2011

Set List
"Gypsy Faded"
"Almost Blue"
"Love Never Asks You To Lie"
"I Miss The Zoo"

Experimental folk-rock singer Joseph Arthur appears on this episode of Mountain Stage, recorded live on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown. Though Arthur appears solo (as he almost always does), a listener might assume he's backed by a full band. Arthur uses his mastery of digital looping machines, harmonizers and distortion boxes to create a lush, multi-layered background for his songs — culminating with his five-and-a-half-minute spoken-word tune "I Miss the Zoo."

Since being discovered by Peter Gabriel in the late '90s, Arthur has released more than a dozen albums and EPs, while also maintaining a career as a highly regarded visual artist. (The packaging for his 1999 EP Vacancy earned a Grammy nomination.) Recently, Arthur has devoted time to the supergroup Fistful of Mercy, with bandmates Ben Harper and Dhani Harrison. Arthur's latest full-length solo album is titled The Graduation Ceremony.

A write-up of the whole event is available via Mountain Stage

Mountain Stage Radio Preview: Paul Brady, Ben Sollee & more
Akron, OH, singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur was discovered by Peter Gabriel in the mid-'90s and signed to his Real World label. Often compared to Leonard Cohen and the late Jeff Buckley, Arthur also is known for using an impressive assortment of electronic gadgets and effects to give a unique sonic dimension to his songs. His most recent release is The Graduation Ceremony.

The show will also be in the Mountain Stage Archives soon.

Thank you micka!

I forgot to mention that the scr*#ing word in "Gypsy Faded" is bleeped in the NPR broadcast and it is the same in the Mountain Stage source too.
