Wiz have apparently started up a set of impromptu sessions and it seems that anyone might turn up - see Entwine article/review for info. In other Lonely Astronauts news, Greg recently appeared on Later with Jools Holland drumming for Norah Jones and is currently on tour with Norah for her new album 'Little Broken Hearts'.

Joseph will open for The Afghan Whigs on the first date of their reunion tour at Bowery Ballroom, NY, on May 23rd!

Also, a June date at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth (tbc) and heads up on some possible dates in Canada in September (also tbc).

Im so excited Joseph is going to be in Missouri!!! As soon as I got the email on tour dates I was just praying he would be in the states over the summer. I saw he was playing in Kentucky and planned on driving there. Then I saw he was in Missouri, twice! My buddy and I already got off work Friday/Sat and got tickets to both shows. We've waited for so long to be able to make a show! Knowing we're finally going to be able to make a show has set our summer off in the right direction. Thank you so much joseph, you've been a huge influence in both of our lives.

The St. Louis show was the best musical experience i've ever had. My buddy and I were so glad to finally meet Joseph and the band. They even let us request songs for the show the following night. Unfortuantly, the email that went out for his tour dates said Oxford, MO, instead of Oxford, MS. We couldn't figure out why he was playing in a little town, figured he had some personal meaning to him. We had bought tickets online, and finally figured out that we were in the wrong state once we got to Oxford. Wouldn't have been as bad, but I didnt have Joseph sign all my CD cases in STL cause I thought i'd see him again the next night. O well, the STL show was so good that it made up for it. We can't wait till Joseph is in the Midwest again, no chance we'll be missing it!

Brief update - Joseph will be opening for Soul Asylum at the Bowery Ballroom on July 26th, there's a venue change for the Quebec City date in Sept (still tbc) and Joseph is on the line-up for the I'll Be You Mirror USA 2012 Festival curated by Greg Dulli and ATP, Sept 22nd (tbc).
