This WFUV interview and session recorded in June before the Redemption's Son tour is now available for your listening pleasure ;)

Set list: "Termite Song", "Favorite Girl", "Evidence"

Anniversaries are a great opportunity to revisit and celebrate the past, and in the case of Joseph Arthur’s third album, Redemption’s Son, a chance to unearth previously unreleased material, reunite with his old label, Real World Records, and reissue the 15th anniversary edition of the album. Over the course of his now twenty year career, the wildly prolific Joseph Arthur has released 14 full length albums and 11 EP’s under his own name, as well as collaborative projects Fistful of Mercy with Ben Harper and Dhani Harrison, and RNDM with Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam.

It was Peter Gabriel who gave Joe his start, making him the first rock signing to his imprint, Real World Records, back in 1997 (sic, should be 1995). On Joseph Arthur’s return to Studio A, he plays us a couple of songs from Redemption’s Son, and talks to us about the journey back in time to 2002, and what it’s like bringing those songs into the present.

[recorded: 6/19/17 with host Carmel Holt, aired: 8/3/17]

I know you burn impossibly bright
